My hamburger was wrong three times. Completely unacceptable

There is none better than Chef o Nette. My husband has been coming here since he was a boy and it's still the same great treasure! There just is no place better!

Step back in time when you eat here. Food has homemade look and taste. Pretty fair value for your money.

Good food, fast service

Love this place. I always come here when I have family in town. Great aesthetic. I heard they haven't redecorated since the 60s and it still looks good. Food is also great. I always get their burger and I am never disappointed.

It's been a while, but this old classic has never let me down. First-time visitors should try theHangover burger with fries. Great service and timeless decor make it worth a stop here in UA ❤

The homemade Honey French dressing is out of this world! Fast, friendly service. Also love the drive-thru window for carryout.

This place is a staple in UA. I have been coming here since late 1980s and it's still the same. Staff is always wonderful. Does have a drive thru but recommend eating inside.

Always a good meal and great service. I have been dinning there for over 26 years. And it hold many fond memories from taking my kids there when they were growing up, to friends and family that come to town. They don't make them like this anymore.

I have only been here for breakfast, but the breakfast here is delicious. It is very good prices, with very good service. And I've heard nothing but good things about their later meals in the day. I highly recommend going to this restaurant. The interior decor is very reminiscent of days of the old, it has a retro feel that makes it a very nice environment. I highly recommend you go here to eat.

Got a burger, not that great day bread and pretty bland. To bad really had high hopes. I try very hard to leave informative reviews, If this was helpful please let me know by giving me a thumbs up

We went kind of late, so sure that's part of it. I couldn't eat the fried chicken - the spice in the breading (?) tasted off to me. The salad was very basic, but the dressings were amazing and seemed homemade. My wife loved her pork chops. Service was great, if slow, but again, it's late. I will go back to try out the hangover plate, but it's got one more shot to impress and I'll be done. Great decor, very, very, very exactly-because-it's-never-changed 60's diner

My wife and I have been eating here for years. Less than expected experience had dropped us to once a year to give it another try. Each year we try it again and still look at each other saying "mediocre at best". We're not expecting TV-worthy chef quality but do hope for tasty comfort food. Yeah, old decor and all is kinda nice for nostalgia. I don't think we've ever tried breakfast yet, it's always been lunch or dinner. I'm just having a hard time wanting to go back when there are so many other better places to eat close by. But it seems like most folks really like it, so go for it.

I have been going to the Chef-o-Nette ever since I was little and always had a wonderful experience. The staff is always very friendly and the service is always great. Really good milkshakes. They have excellent burgers! The hangover is my favorite thing to get. They also have great waffles and pancakes for breakfast. If you love classic diner food this is a great place to go! They even have a drive through! It is very reasonably priced. I would totally recommend this classic American diner!!

It's just like a walk back in time. This diner is awesome. They do everything right. Their coleslaw is amazing. Check out the pork chops. You can't go wrong with most anything on the menu. It is an excellent family-friendly diner.

Super super good food

The place is pretty retro haven't done a lot of improvements for 25 to 30 years. Food was great, a bit pricey for what you get, atmosphere is nice

Absolutely love this place! My mom went here when she was a kid and now I get to go with her! I love it just because of the atmosphere! But you also get great food!

A trip back in time to a 1960s diner. This place is just plain awesome! A really huge counter with stools, cool 60s booths. Excellent food and reasonable prices. Excellent service. Reminds me of places I went with my family as a kid. Great breakfast. I recommend the "Hangover" for lunch. They are very active in the UA community as well. A true UA staple!

Good ol old school diner

A true classic old school feel. I prefer the Hanover burger with fries and some cottage cheese. However, it's the chocolate milkshake that keeps me coming back. It also has the often overlooked Fifth Avenue bar at the checkout. Only wish it was open on Sundays.

Did not like the onion rings, hamburger was fair. Service very good. Not a place I will visit again.

I really like this place. It's a little stuck in time, which is good by me. Nice folks, good food, good prices.

Great food and service

We made reservations for a large party on and now it is Saturday we show up AND ARE TURNED AWAY.. REALLY REALLY. You turned away paying customers who had RESERVATIONS!! Disappointed our families and our children who wanted to celebrate our success at our dance competitions. Trust me when people ask for suggestions of places to eat in the Upper Arlington area YOU WILL NOT BE IT. THANK YOU FOR RUINING OUR EVENING. I am also finding every review place I can find to leave this review.

Family friendly diner. You will feel like you are in an authentic 50's diner. Not because the decor is really good...but because it probably hasnt been updated since then. Besides that though, the food is good. the staff is great. and we always have a good time coming here!

What to say? It's the Chef, you owe it to yourself to go there if you haven't. Great family diner, good people and good food.

Classic greasy spoon. Real cherry cokes. The "hangover" is one of the best burgers in the city.

If you are from "UA," feel free to reverse the rating because you already think you live in the Beverly Hills of central Ohio. For everyone else, I cannot think of a single reason to recommend this joint, not even the cheap prices. I've been here a few times and always felt I got a lot less than what I paid for and/or would've been better off microwaving a frozen burrito or some Hot Pockets. The fact the carpet looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the place first opened doesn't inspire much confidence, either.

Had breakfast there and was expe naive. We 23.00 for a breakfast w e get at anywhere in town.

I'm just not a huge breakfast fan, so the experience is wasted on me, but going there for lunch is a treat. Great basic menu with normal portions and livable prices.

A great little diner. Great food and atmosphere. The wait staff was very attentive and the fact that the decor is throw back it is even better! I would definitely recommend it, especially since it is very inexpensive.
